Since both techniques result in website traffic, the methods and goals are radically different, especially when considering where you site visitor came from and what they see when they arrive- the landing page. Now I know a lot of you may be thinking been there done that, what you didn’t know is SEO pages tend to be website home pages and very general in nature. On the other hand SEM landing pages are very specific and offer a greater level of control. But both are essential for most desirable conversions.

When designing and putting a site together for a client the landing page should have a specific goal in mind. The goal therefore is to push more specific quality traffic to the website through the search engine. However when you are looking for a targeted landing page, unlike the generic home page, it should be designed and relevant to what a user has just seen on the SERP (search engine results page) making good on the listing offer.

THE SEO Experience

Think about it in simpler terms lets say you go shopping at a department store, with a specific item in mind to buy- Lets say a bra (since I am female we always need new ones) You enter through the front door and notice every little thing on your way to the lingerie department. The sales, decorations, toys, maybe even a coffee shop on the way will catch your attention. If you are like me distractions will become strong enough to make you go blank and completely forget what you came in for in the first place, or you could ignore them until you reach your final destination in the lingerie department.

The landing page or “home” associated with organic listings isn’t going to be that different. The SEO landing pages have to cater to the browsing humans and search engines bots that are not set up to look for a particular item. Due to this your marketing focus is indirect at best.

On the other hand (this is where it become a 2 edged sword) the organic listing you will see is spewed out by algorithms (a procedure for solving a mathematical problem like finding the greatest common divisor in a finite number of steps that frequently involves repetition of an operation) are not going to be controlled by the retailers so easily. Most search engines will look at the home page first and rank it as the most important page based on the relevancy of the queries. This should encourage you to code your pages on broader terms, in order to gain a wider readership.

Basically organic landing pages are not driven by rates of conversion. The main goal here would be to get a higher ranking and much traffic. This is great if you just want traffic with no real customer quality. Come back tomorrow and I shall give you more information… Like the SEM of E-commerce experience.
ebay coupons

Search engine optimization is a process in which full analysis of a web site is done from search engine perspective. Following things are analyzed -

Target segment (Niche) of the website Keyword users type belonging to that target segment Density of those keywords in the content of the site Does site theme supports those keywords General site navigation and text used in anchor text linking Competition in that target segment Resources used by the competitors Other sites linking to that site Age of the site

After analysis of these factors a report is prepared which discusses the problems a site is facing with respect to the above factors. How much optimization efforts are required for the site to come up in search engine ranking. How much time it would take before actual results are seen. A ethical solution would be to help site overcome the natural shortcomings arisen due to ignorance or improper knowledge of search engine functioning.

Ethical search engine optimization solution would require time, lot of hard work on the part of seo and patience to wait until actual results are achieved. The success achieved through ethical seo efforts are long term gains and display stability. In comparison unethical seo efforts show quick results but are very damaging in long term.

Search engine optimization makes a website search engine friendly and ethical search engine optimization is best for sustained good ranking. Before starting any search engine optimization effort it is necessary that one should be fully aware of the targeted Keywords and phrases.
manage resource box links

While on-page SEO is an important part of any successful online marketing strategy, the off-page optimization is far more important to get into place. Once you have your off-page SEO to a sufficient level you will begin to see your search engine ranking rise along with the amount of traffic you are receiving for your site.

In order to demonstrate the effect of off-page SEO I am going to borrow an example from a guy named Michael Cheney, one of the leading Internet marketing specialist. Go to Google and do a search for the words “click here”. What you will find is that number one result for this search phrase (as of this writing) is for Adobe Acrobat Reader download page. In fact, most of the results that come up for this phrase are downloads. Why would this page be ranked so highly for this search term?

The reason these pages are ranked as highly as they are is because there are literally thousand of websites that are linking to them using the words “click here.” Think about all the people that public content using a PDF document, and they need to get people the tool so they can read it. So, they link to the Acrobat download page with an explanation of what they are going to need to read the document, usually ending in “to download Acrobat, click here.” Google recognizes this as something relevant to these sites, so when someone searches for the words they are ranked highly. The bottom line: the more links you have with certain keywords, the higher you will rank in the search engines.

You might be thinking that this is all well and good, but how do you go about getting all the links from these websites? The first step is to find another website that is ranking highly for your targeted search terms and copy what they are doing. Here is the actual steps that you need to take to get a highly ranked websites link partners to link to you:

Go to your competitors website and look for a page that contains a bunch of links to other websites. This is usually called links, resources, partners, something along those lines. For every link on their links page, pull up their partners website. Look through their website for an email address that you can use to contact their web administrator. This is usually some thing like webmaster@website or info@website. Put a link on your links page to the website you are looking at. This is actually a good way to get them to link to you, people are more likely to link back if you are linking to them first. If you can, find out what their prefered link text is. This is usually posted on their links page. If you can’t find it, just use the URL of their website. Send the webmaster of your intended linking partner an email requesting to exchange links. Tell them your prefered link text and description. Also tell them that you have placed a link to their website on your linking page. Give them the URL of your linking page so they can confirm that you are linking to them. Wait for them to respond. Most of the time people will get back to you fairly quickly, but I have seen responses come back after a couple of months. Be prepared to get a few people that simply do not want to link to you. They might consider your website too off topic or simply not like you. The key is not to take it personally and to move on to other websites that might be more open to linking to you.

If you don’t want to send out a thousand emails to different websites across the world, you can talk to their computers instead. There are several linking networks available that handle the link exchange process for you. You can usually find these kinds of linking partners by doing a search for your primary keyword and adding the text “Add Link” in quotes. Most of the time you will find a form that you can fill out to submit your link exchange request. Some of these forms are managed, some are not. Once you submit the form you will be given the link text and description to place on your website for your new link partner. After you post the link on your site, they will verify that the link exists and is working. Once everything has been verified they will post your link on their site. The whole process can take some time if the link exchange program is managed, but is is worth it if the websites that are linking to you have a high page rank.
About the Author:

This article is a follow-up to an article I wrote about On-Page Optimization . On-Page optimization enables each of your web pages to make the most out of the mojo that they have — but you need inbound links to create that mojo in the first place.

I use the term “mojo” as a generic descriptor for the importance given to a web page or a web site based upon inbound links. Similar terms include page rank, site rank, trust rank, and authority. Those terms tend to carry too much linguistic baggage, so I use the term “mojo” for simplicity unless another term is specifically required.

Mojo is created by getting inbound links to your web site and to your web pages.

Getting inbound links is one of the most important, and time consuming, tasks involved in SEO.

Here are a few tips to generate inbound links. Each of these tips are appropriate for some web sites, but none are appropriate for all web sites. Select the link building strategies which are most appropriate for your specific web site.

Submit to Web Directories

Start with big slow directories like the Yahoo Directory and the DMOZ Open Directory Project, but don’t stop there.

Search out the small directories which are dedicated to topics relevant to your web site.

For more suggestions on finding directories to submit to, read How can I find web directories?

Reciprocal Linking

Write individual e-mails to specific webmasters whose web pages compliment your own and tell them that you would like to trade links with them.

Make sure to personalize each e-mail, or your e-mails will be quickly deleted as spam.

To achieve the best results from your e-mail, include the following in your initial e-mail:

* Mention two positive items about their web site, so that they know that your e-mail is not a generic spam.

* Include directions to the specific web page where you have added the link to their web site.

* Mention the Page Rank of the page where you have added a link to their web site.

These web sites exist to help you search for reciprocal link partners in the same market niche’ as your web site:

* Find Link Partners

* Link Partner Finder

* Themes Reciprocal Link Finder

Write Articles for Other Web Sites

One method for getting inbound links is to write quality articles and submit them to other web sites for publication.

Each article should include a link back to your web site.

These links are better than links from link pages, because there tend to be very few outbound links on the article page.

Write a brief article on some topic related to the topic of your web site. Do not write an article about your web site, but write an article that would be interesting to people who would also be interested in your web site.

Send this article to webmasters who maintain web sites on topics similar to the topic of your article. Explain to them that they can post your article for free on their web sites, in return for a link to your web site.

To find web sites to submit articles for publication, visit Where can I submit an article for publication?

Create and Submit Press Releases

Write press releases about your web site and submit them to press release distribution services.

To find places to submit press releases for publication, visit Where can I submit my press release?

Join a Reciprocal Link Program

Reciprocal linking programs exist to help webmasters share links with similar web sites.

Some of the reciprocal link programs are:

* Link Market

* Info Wizards

* LinkExchanged

* Link Partners

* Links-Pal

* Linkateer

* Webmaster Link Exchange

* GoTop Link Exchange ($19.95 fee to join)

* LinkLeads

* Link Traders

* LinkExchangeIt

* SiteSell

* 123ExchangeLinks

* Ads4Links

* Spocka

* Links For You

If you have a blog, try blogLinker, the automatic link swapper for blogs.

These link networks can generate a lot of e-mail. You will probably want to create a new e-mail account just for these networks.

Join the DigitalPoint Ad Network

The DigitalPoint Coop Advertising Network enables you to automatically trade links with thousands of web sites across the Internet.

Join a Reciprocal Linking Forum

Several web forums exist for the purpose of sharing and trading reciprocal links. These linking forums include:

LinkRequests
Link Trade Forum

Start a Reciprocal Linking Program on Your Web Site

You can also setup a reciprocal linking program on your own web site.

For more information on setting up a reciprocal linking program on your site, read How can I add a reciprocal link manager to my web site?

Start or Join a Web Ring

You can use an existing web ring service such as WebRing, or you can create your own web ring using the PHP-Ring webring script.

Join or Create a Top Site List

Search for top site lists which are relevant to your web site.

Add yourself to the existing lists. If no relevant top site lists exist, create one.

Provide a Useful Service

Create dynamic content on your web site which other web masters can include on their web sites by linking to it.

Every webmaster who uses your content automatically adds a link to your site.

Firearm News is an excellent example of this. If you add a small bit of JavaScript to your web page, your users will receive up-to-date news on firearms.

Of course, you will also have to contact other webmasters to let them know about your service — perhaps even with a press release.

Buy Links

If all else fails, you can always buy links to your web site.
joomla blog

Creating a website for your business or organization is a great way to inform the public about your services. It is not hard to create a website, as there are many different easy to instructional sites and programs out there that can help you, step by step. Despite all of this, if you want to be sure that your site reaches the most potential web surfers, you have to have a good search position.

Search position is essentially as follows. When potential customers or internet users want to find certain products or information, they usually use a search engine, such as Google. They can type key words into the query box and press enter in order for them to be sorted out by the search engine. For instance, if someone was looking for state of the art cooking supplies, they might type the phrase cooking supplies into a Google search. Within the resulting sites and companies, search position would show whether sites are first, last or somewhere in the middle of the list.

For one, customers often see those sites first, and therefore they usually have the most traffic. Another thing is that these sites may contain the most key words relevant to the search that was done, therefore it is often found to be a better match than sites further down on the list. It comes down to the fact that there are many factors involved in acquiring, and maintaining, a high search position.

If the thought is crossing your mind that you would like to improve your search position rank, you have quite a few options. One of those options is to hire an SEO. An SEO is essentially a company that is expert at improving the search position of web sites. A good, ethical company will practice White Hat SEO practices. Black Hat SEO is the practice of using unethical methods such as spamdexing, which misleads web surfers with irrelevant key words.

Introduction of relevant key words is one White Hat SEO procedure. Key words that encompass the content and message of your site are used in order to direct potential customers there, when your services are a match with their needs. White Hat SEO also may include reorganizing your site content, or adding things you may have overlooked. It is miraculous what a little rearranging can do for a tired looking site in the eyes of potential customers!

You may think it would be easier to change these things yourself, but more goes into search position than meets the eye. It can take months of training to understand the algorithms and formulas that also go into search rankings. The combination of knowing all of these components will make for the best search position for your company, which in turn will help improve upon your site traffic.
bridesmaid gifts

Writing articles for the Internet, whether as an effective method of bringing attention to your product or service, is quite different from writing articles for print publications like magazines or books.

In Internet writing, there are certain rules to follow, to ensure that the articles are well-written, and generate interest among web readers.

Internet Article Writing Purposes

Internet articles, whether for informative or marketing purposes, is distributed freely via the Worldwide Web. The main purpose is to generate targeted traffic to your website and construct, as well as maintain as list of potential customers.

The articles written are made to provide information to the reader and encourage them to learn further about your business or services. Internet marketing articles could be utilized to promote any type of product, service or specific information. They can be used to promote your website, affiliate marketing program or blog.

The process of writing Internet articles is relatively a simple one, and would generally cost you nothing. This involves writing the article and submitting these to article directories, article announcement lists, and e-magazines.

Internet Article Writing Methods And Techniques

Internet articles are written basically to entice the reader to learn more about the products or services you offer. The article itself is not where you sell the product, instead the article should provide web readers with adequate information, which would make them want o take action and click on your website to learn more. In addition, the articles should be really compelling, or persuasive, so that others would also want to post it on their blogs, websites or newsletters.

Standard Article Lengths

Internet articles generally should be between 400 to 1,200 words in length. It is important to keep the articles fairly within this length, because if it gets too long, the ones reading it may get really bored or begin to click away.

However, if the articles are too short on the other hand, it probably would not provide enough pertinent information. The main objective is to strike a balance between the two aspects. The title of an Internet article is also one of the most important aspects you should keep in mind.

An effective strategy would be to insert the keyword of your article into the title. In order to not compromise the quality of the title, web analysts suggest keeping an article’s title between 4 to 7 or 8 words.

How To Prevent Keyword Abuse

In writing your article, you may want to include the primary keyword or phrase, like around 1 to 3 times in each paragraph. Placing keywords needs to make sense, and you would not want overuse the keyword or phrase in a paragraph or sentence, just have it there. For example, you are writing an article on pet food. You may write the paragraph like this one:

“I regularly buy pet food for my cats. I really like the wide array of pet food choices they sell at Petco. They offer different pet food types for cats, dogs, hamsters, rabbits, parrots, and even iguanas”.

In viewing the example above, the keyword “pet food” was placed three times, and also blended well into the paragraph. The good thing is that the keyword wasn’t overused. In the succeeding example, you will notice that the main keyword is used excessively, and does not properly flow well, making the paragraph difficult to read:

“I regularly buy pet food for my cats. As much as I do, you’d also love the wide array of pet food they sell at Petco. They offer pet food for every type of animal. They have pet food for cats. They have pet food for dogs and rabbits.

Selling online is a cut throat business. You have to arm yourself with the proper tools and know-how to make your website a cut above the rest. Everyday more and more people are clambering to optimize their websites and if you let down your guard, you just may get trampled on and be left in the abyss filled with so many other failed websites.

Search Engine Optimization, also known as is SEO, is widely used by many website owners. For quite a few years in the past and many, many years to come, search engines are the most widely used tool internet users use to find the websites they need to go to for a product, service and/or information they’re looking for.

Most search engine users only use the top ten search results on the first page. Very seldom do they move onto the next pages. Therefore making it on the first page is a goal for most website owners. Ideally however, being listed in the top three should be the ultimate goal. The higher the rankings, the higher the ratio of the probability of “getting the click”. So, it stands to reason that higher rankings equals more clicks which equals more traffic which equals more business.

Now it must also be mentioned that once you grab a hold of that top spot, it’s important to keep a hold of it. As I mentioned, each day is a new day for all website owners to make themselves rank higher using SEO. It is extremely important to make your site better everyday.

So, the answer to why you have to use search engine optimization is an easy one. You need SEO to rank high in the search engines so you can make your website an income generating website. With SEO you can get the benefit of generating a high traffic volume. As mentioned, more traffic equals more business.
disapparate

SEO has become the key of success of any website in today’s world, but still there are people who ignore the SEO part of their website and try to either find some cheaper ways to optimize their website or self optimize their website without having knowledge of SEO. At Himshilp we do a thorough study of our client’s website and its competitor’s website and then perform research to find the title, description, keywords, H1 tags and content in the respective client’s site.

I want to list 10 golden rules which could be followed, in order to avoid common SEO mistakes to optimize the websites:

Avoid badly framed website title:

Website title plays an important role in determining the rank of a page by search engines. If your website has irrelevant title, then your webpage will be given less relevance by search engine. After scanning your page the search engine matches your content with the title and keywords of your page, so it is very important to take care of few things while designing the title.

1. One should never use a keyword more than once in the title.

2. Title tag should be framed with 10 – 60 characters, without any special characters.

3. Always place the important keywords in the title obeying the rule of leftward i.e. the

First word is best, second is second best, etc.

4. The title should always relate to the content of the webpage, its meta description and

meta keywords and should be legible by the user.

5. There should be distinct title and description of each page.

Don’t use duplicate/ insufficient content of the page:

Never design duplicate or bad content for your webpage. Insufficient or Duplicate content will not be tolerated by search engines, even your websites can be banned. Content is known as the king of the web. So always write a content which is unique, friendly. Then people would like to link to you. You can even hire people who write decent unique content by paying them some amount.

Check all your backlinks (Poor backlinks/ less backlinks are harmful):

The quantity of backlinks/ incoming links of a website represent its popularity. The number of backlinks replicates the number of votes caste for a particular website or a web page. Google consider backlinks as a very important factor to determine page rank. Don’t link to the websites which are not relevant to your website as it will not benefit you. Always link to a high page-rank website. Google doesn’t support link-exchange, so better not adopt it. One way quality backlinks are always better for SEO. There are various ways to increase the backlinks. The submission to Directories & Search Engine Submission is the easiest yet powerful and result oriented activity. Creating interesting blogs and articles are also very helpful to get quality backlinks to your website. The social networking profiles can also be used to bring backlinks to your website.

Check all your internal links:

Broken internal links create negative impact on SEO. Always validate all your internal links so that there are no broken links in your website. Using similar anchor text in all the links is also not advised. Anchor text is the text which is the visible part of a hyperlink, never use the same anchor text in all your links like click here or some thing which is irrelevant to that link. Anchor text link should contain keywords. Use hyphenated filenames, but not long ones – two or three hyphens only. And try to use keywords in the urls also.

Use header tags in the content appropriately:

One of the POSITIVE ON-Page SEO Factors is the usage of keyword in H1, H2 and H3 tags. We should use these tags in order to get the page optimized. But the problem with these tags is that they don’t look nice as such in the web browsers for h1, h2 tags are too large and h5, h6 are too small. So overall appearance of the webpage gets distorted. That’s why generally people ignore them. But with the advent of style sheets it has become very easy for the programmers to change the hierarchy of the tags, so that one can view them in the browser with the appropriate size. Also one should never use H1 tag more than once in a page.

Use keywords properly:

Keywords are wonderful weapon of your websites so never ignore them whether it is keywords in meta tag, url, meta description.

meta keywords: Never use common meta keywords in all the webpages of your website. It will be screened as
duplicate content filter checks by the SE. The common rule for Keyword in keyword meta tag is to use less than 10 words. Every word in this tag MUST appear somewhere in the body text. If not, it can be punished for irrelevance. No single word should appear more than twice. If not, it may be considered as spamming.

Keyword in URL: Often people ignore the proper usage keywords in url, and it is stuffed with irrelevant words.
Always use appropriate description of the page content in the url assuming this hierarchy First word is the best, second is the second best, etc.

Keyword in description meta tag: Do not put similar descriptions for all the pages. It should be unique for all the pages and relevant to the page content. Ideally it should contain less than 200 chars.

High Keyword density in body text: Ideally keyword density should be 5- 20% – (all keywords/ total words). Individual keyword density should be 1 – 6% – (each keyword/ total words). But if you are thinking that using keyword everywhere will make the page more relevant then its wrong assumption. Do not stuff keywords unreasonably everywhere.

Make proper XML sitemap of the website:

Sitemaps helps you communicate with the SE. Website gets indexed in various search engines by XML sitemap. So always update your sitemap so that your webpages get indexed easily in the search engines.

Use < img> tag properly:

Most of the times the images are overlooked in SEO. Long and meaningless names of the images convey nothing to the search engine, try to incorporate some keywords in the image name so that the search engine will list them. Use alt tag to describe the images. ALT tags should contain a description of what the image is. It is a labeling device to translate your image into text for search engines. It also translates your image into a textual reference for users with visual handicaps. So use < img> tag carefully.

Don’t use too much of javascript where it is not required:

Use as much as clean HTML code instead of javascript code as the search engine could not translate java script.

Have patience:

There is no shortcut to get listed in top 10 for the selected keywords. It takes time for a page to get indexed in Google. So have patience and be vigilant. Publish unique quality content, by validating it and reinsure that it gets indexed properly in the search engine, this is an ongoing process, so keep changing the content of the website since if you will optimize your website for once and take a backseat then you can be out of index.

Finally be cautious of those internet marketing firms who give you 100% assurance in getting the pages indexed. Even Google says that there is no rule to get the 100% optimization and the rules to optimize the webpage are keeps on changing so be vigilant and take the appropriate step.
pirate party planning

Search Engine Optimization is a very thorough process and can be complicated. This article will definitely not teach you everything but it will point out some very important aspects of search engine optimization (SEO).

Now before I get started I need to point out a few things. You can not just throw up any webpage use SEO tactics on it and get it to a number one position in the search engines. Your website needs good quality content and needs to be resourceful to users. Also you can not have an affiliate site nor a forwarded domain. Search engines pick up on these sites and never list them. This has to be your very own site with good quality content and your own domain name.

Once all of the above are true you will be able to proceed to performing the following SEO tactics on your website. One important note is that it should be done in this particular order for simplicity and to save yourself the time of realizing that you did so much work for no reason:

For search engine optimization you should take these steps and in this particular order:

1.Find out the most important keywords that you would like your website to show up in, in a search engine. Make sure your website is related to those keywords (this is a biggie).

2.Now what you want to do is include those keywords in your website as much as possible without actually “spamming” your site with the keywords. So don’t stick the keywords where they do not belong make sure they are strategically placed.

3.You should include those keywords in the title and description of your website at least once but no more than 3 times.

4.Try to fit the keywords in the body of your website as many times as possible without sounding repetitive.

5.It is a good idea to have the keywords in your domain name, but as you already have domains you shouldn’t worry about this.

6.Any objects on your website (ie. audio, graphics, videos, etc.), should have alternate text that includes your keywords.

7.Another important place to include your keywords is the meta tags of your webpage. Meta tags are not visible to the viewer but are to the search engines. Make sure to include your keywords in your meta tags as much as possible.

8.The last and most important thing in search engine optimization (and this isn’t really search engine optimization per say) is to get backlinks to your webpage. The more links you get the better PR(pagerank) your site will get and the higher up the search engine rankings your site will go.

I hope this will help whoever applies these method. This is by far no guide on full out SEO tactics but it is a start and some of the aforementioned is very important when it comes to SEO.
mom blog

While most search engines do not use Meta Tags as a means of determining placement in their overall rankings of similar websites the proper use of Title Tags should take some careful thought. For those interested in your product or service the title tag is often the first impression a consumer has about your website.

A title tag is generally only 80 characters or less in length. Usually the title tag is approached by website owners as an after thought. By optimizing your title tag you have the opportunity to appeal directly to the consumer. Consider your title tag a mini advertisement directed to millions of web users.

In the html language of each web page is a section that reads < TITLE > Title Tag information here < /TITLE >

You will find this html section within the tags that read < HEAD > and < /HEAD >
Html language may be foreign to you, but you can use the services of a good webmaster and insist they work with you to optimize the pages on your site to assist you in rankings, consistency and for maximum customer and ranking impact.

What should Title Tags include?

Title tags should always include at least two keywords or phrases, but don’t go overboard. If your title is stuffed with keywords it can actually have a negative impact on your ranking due to the fact that many sites may consider this a spamming technique.

It is possible to make your title tag longer than 80 characters, however if you do make sure the most important information comes first. Search engines will place a limit on how much title information they display with their search results so it is possible some of your title information could be omitted.

It may seem a daunting task, but by placing a title tag on every page in your website you have a very simple, but often overlooked way of impacting the very people you want to visit your website – consumers.

Interestingly it is the title tag that many search engines look to first when considering site rankings and it often the most overlooked part of many SEO online marketing strategies.
By overlooking title tags in SEO you are essentially doing the same things as businesses who have a phone number in the phone book and believe that’s enough to draw customers. Title tags provide a means of free advertising in search engines. When you couple that with the importance search engines places on title tags it just makes sense to optimize your title tags.
eco-friendly favors
