Posting original bloopers is a great way to getting attention for your website. America’s Funniest Videos (AFV) has been airing continuously for 20 years! Despite the popularity of YouTube.com, AFV thrives, commanding almost $100,000 per thirty second commercial spot.

So where do you get bloopers? You can create and film bloopers, though most will be seen as fake and could only make your website appear foolish. Start filming activities that are prone to bloopers such as roller skating, skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing, pets, sports, or other activities. If you are on a sports team or sponsor one, tape and post your team’s bloopers.

You can post your videos on your website, Facebook, Myspace, and on Youtube. With a little push for publicity such as blogging about your video, you might get some serious traffic.

One resume writing website posts a collection of several hundred humorous resume bloopers. The website owner then created articles with a few resume bloopers to tease readers and a link to the page on his website to see all the bloopers. The list gets attention with a page rank of 4.

The same could be done with information you might have received on job applications, bills, blogs, letters, emails, and text messages. If you receive mail, you might have writing bloopers to share.

Make your bloopers anonymous. Do not reveal names, addresses or emails and remove any identifying information from emails etc. You do not want to embarrass anyone. If you tape anyone besides yourself, you might want to get a release signed before posting the video.
